Young Innovators Present Groundbreaking Solutions at SDG Innovation Accelerator For Young Professionals

The UN Global Compact Network Ghana held the SDG Innovation Accelerator for Young Professionals Final Solution Showcase at the ISSER Conference Hall, University of Ghana on Thursday 16th October, 2025.

At the beginning of the year, eight companies namely GlobalNet Procurement Limited., KEK Insurance Brokers Ltd., Jospong Group of Companies, The Ghana Chamber of Mines, Absa Bank Ghana, Consolidated Bank Ghana, Ghana Manganese Company Ltd. and Fidelity Bank Ghana signed up for the United Nations Global Compact SDG Innovation Accelerator for Young Professionals!

For 4 months, these young professionals also known as Innovators, identified critical challenges in their organizations and worked on creating a sustainable solution. The goal to curb this challenge was for them to design more sustainable business models, initiatives and products that will advance the company’s sustainability efforts

After these trainings, ABSA Bank Ghana was selected to represent Ghana, and had the opportunity to showcase their sustainable solution SPARK by Absa at the 2025 Leaders Summit, New York!

This final solution showcase aimed to encourage SDG innovation through bottom-up approaches with the aim of developing breakthrough solutions that have both social and market value. It also aimed at developing a new generation of sustainable business leaders who can take initiative within their organizations to drive sustainability

This showcase allowed Innovators to exhibit their solutions and receive valuable feedback and insights.

We thank all the participants who carried through this journey as well as all the members from the UN Global Compact Network Ghana who took time off their busy schedules to be a part of this showcase.
